For the past week, Pete and I both have been cleaning the place up in between doing other things, most of which have been BLBP related. BLBP – this now stands for Bacon, Lettuce, Baloney, Pork. The lettuce, the only non-meat, adds zest to the assemblage.
Pete has not, but I have gotten in some playtime, this being riding horses. Today I rode Raudi in the morning and Hrimmi in the evening. This morning it was sunny and warm. This evening it was humid and overcast.
My hip felt like it was seizing up when I rode Raudi, so I cut the ride short. I got off on Jim’s Road and walked her – I always walk the horses before and after I ride them – always. And I was okay.
I then went to town for my chiropractic appointment. Dr. Joe seemed to be preoccupied but was focused when he did his adjustments. This time he mentioned that I might have S.I. issues (my phrasing), which makes sense. The hip is still problematic. I made another appointment. I am going to see if I can’t fix what’s broken (for lack of any other words).
I felt really good after my appointment. The focus on the S.I. issues made me feel much better – in fact I was high energy. This made it easier for me to go into the former banquet room of the historic Eagle Hotel with a smile on my face. I call this my professional persona. It’s easier to maintain if I am not in pain, and of course I was not in pain today.
I am now plenty busy what with two events coming up on Friday, one being G.O.A.T (Greatest of all Time) -- I have arranged for Carl and Megan who boarded Lilac and Swampy to bring two goats to Friday Fling. We’ll have a story time. And I have a lot of goat books to share.
If it rains, we’ll meet in the former banquet room of the Historic Eagle Hotel.
The other event is being organized by Kid’s Kupboard who we have partnered with. This is going to take place on Friday evening. I have a ride there.
I came home around dinner time, and after got Hrimfara out. I don’t want summer to end, but she will be easier to ride once the grass isn’t so lush.
