Thursday, August 16, 2012: Plans

I like having a lot going on. Tomorrow I have a phone interview/conference call with Dark Horse Media in California. Chris Romano, who is illustrating Raudi’s Story, was the initial contact. We’re hoping that they’ll have some ideas as to how to market our book. It’s a beautiful document – the illustrations have brought it to life.

This weekend we’re hosting a trail ride/barbecue. Fran Buntzen is coming down from Fairbanks. (She’s the Alaska Icelandic Horse Association newsletter editor). She’ll stay for two days, in our guest cabin. And we’ve invited numerous other people.

Emily is heading back home, to Chugiak – the plan is for Tinni to stay at Vickie’s until Mid-September. But he will be home for the weekend. I’m looking forward to this. Pete and I are going to build him a shelter. We are getting short on room, so Pete’s going to check with the borough, on the tax situation of the place across the street. We suspect that it’s going to be a foreclosure. I’ll be able to expand upon the horse factory, err facility if we can somehow get a hold of it. This would be like a dream come true for me, which is to have a larger pasture area for my horses. And I could put in a small arena, and give lessons.
