I put a lot of time into making it so that we’ll be able to sort books in the “wayback room.” Today I also sorted books into boxes, so that the Summer in the Park(s) staff have the option of cleaning and stamping books, that is if the weather remains crappy.
I want to get over to the park and do what we do – so I am hoping, yes I am hoping for a break in the weather.
I took advantage of today’s weather breaks, first going for a ride on Raudi and then going for a ride on Hrimmi with Pete on Tyra and Shadow tagging along. We could see blue patches in the sky. Pete got Tyra to move out and Hrimmi picked up the pace, which kept her from eating as much. They are now in fairly good shape, and I intend to keep them this way. If the weather improves, I will set up the agility course and take them through it.
So tomorrow I will awake and look at the eaves and if they are dripping, I will go oh no and perhaps snag a few minutes more sleep.
It was because (I think) of the weather that I felt so down today. It was difficult, getting anything done. I had to force myself to sweep the upstairs – the tumble weed hairballs were an incentive.
I did go to the hotel and sorted books, not many. My heart wasn’t in it, which does have me concerned. Could be a case of burnout, which is not surprising given that I have been at it for a long time.
But there is tunnel at the end of light, for sure. The old volunteer coordinator is going corporate. We may get an assistant for me. There may be funding options in the future. I may someday have to work just three days a week.
Pete continues to do an amazing job with BLBP grants and administrative whatnot, things that I could of course do but would take me a long, long time. I lack this sort of acuity.
