I suppose this is good – I’ll get what needs to be done in one fell sweep. And I won’t be doing the work because I will be (as they say) out like a light. Too often I’m the one having to do the work.
The end result of the second visit is that I will have a C.T. scan in order to determine if I have a sinus infection. Beforehand, I will take antibiotics and if anything is present this might wipe it out. In the meantime, I will continue to deal with intermittent pain on the left side of my face
Having chronic pain – and I have two types, one in my head and the other in my gut – is no fun at all. I can often forget about the pain by thinking of something else, but no matter what I do and don’t think about, the pain tires me out.
I had quite a few books to sort out upon my arrival back at the former banquet room of the historic Eagle Hotel. There, resting against the far wall, was my doppelganger, Fat Alys. She was holding a copy of the book, Flat Stanley. I never imagined that anyone would ever have any reason to make a two dimensional photographic image of me. As Sharon Peek said, “Now Alys can be in two places at the same time,” to which I said “har har.”
The odd thing is that I am feeling egoless these days – I did not see my being made into a two dimensional likeness of myself in any way was indicative of my character or heroic stance in taking on the BLBP. If others did, they didn’t say anything to me about this.
I would love to take Flat Alys and put it out and see what the horses think of it – and make a video of their reactions. I could do this when the weather gets warmer and the ground dries some.
These days I’m just doing what needs to be done.
The weather today – cloudy, cloudy. Rain. Cloudy, cloudy. Felt really tired upon arriving home. Didn’t have the energy needed to go for a ride. This is not a good thing.
If all goes well, in a few weeks’ time I will no longer be in pain.
