Too bad, I first had to go and get a mammogram. The drive to Sutton, the mountains, snow covered, the trees enveloped in greenery. It reminded me of being on horse trips and seeing such a sight. This made me wish that I was on a pack trip. . .
I got the mammogram done really quickly. There is seldom a wait at the Sutton Health clinic. In fact, I just had to wait for Ebba, the receptionist, to get off the phone. She told me to go directly to the Mammogramobile, which I did. The exam was done really quickly. After I complemented the woman who did this – she not only drove the big rig from Anchorage to the health center, she also did the hands on exam work.
I now will have to wait for my results. This is the hard part, and it’s why I put this off for so long. I hate getting bad news. The last time I did this I was told that there was lump in my breast. Turns out, it was benign. I hope that this time around, that history repeats itself.
Darn, I again fell asleep. I also fell asleep this morning at the hotel. I was working on Shelf Life. I roused myself and went to our booth area. The Visitor Center staff welcomed us with open arms and is allowing us to use their expansive front area.
My friend Clyde showed up and gave an assist with Story Time. We told the story There was an Old Woman who Swallowed . . . later, at the table, a woman took a far number of these books. However, I think that I saved the best – I left them at the hotel.
Bea and I cut out early and headed back to the hotel, after having given away countless books, I then unpacked and repacked the books that came in, in my absence. No kidding, there were over 50 boxes.
