I got a few minutes of hot tub time. I got in first, but it started to get crowded, so I cut my time short. Before I entered the pool, I was moving stooped over because to stand straight hurts. I was able to further straighten out when I was in the pool.
More and more, I’m liking swimming, which is very strange. In the past I would get into a pool because I felt obligated. Now I am looking forward to it. It may be as with running that I am releasing endorphins.
I went from the pool to the post office. The outdoor package area contained a box from my sister Eleanor, which had some nice things in it, including two Alaska mugs, a book, and tee shirts. Also, a card that said something about birthdays and feisty old ladies.
I was put off by the card. El sees herself as old. And she sees me as old. I do not consider myself to be old, as she does. Right now, the only thing slowing me down is this hip problem. I do not like walking hunched over. I did call today, and I scheduled an MRI for next Monday.
The receptionist was very chatty. She may of just had her coffee. Now, as she said, I am going to have to get an injection in the hip. Wait a minute, I did not sign on for this. In fact, the powers that be should pay me because they are getting to do this.
I was by 1:00 p.m. in the hotel. It was, for the first hour-and-a-half a steady stream of visitors. I gave tours and partial tours. Franz Bakery came and got seven boxes of books. The seventh box – It was on top of the rest, so off it went. It was supposed to go someplace else next week.
I commended myself as the Franz Bakery people took off because I had the presence of mind to pack up the six boxes plus one before going swimming. I would not have had the time to do this if it had been later, and I knew this.
Now tomorrow I get my hairs cut. I will emerge from the beauty salon a new woman.
