To use metaphor is to exaggerate,
for what is is:
a belch that resonates,
a stomp that reverberates,
a wink that inculcates.
The combined smell of musk, urine, sweat
cling to him the way an offspring clings to its mother.
The female, she wrinkles her nose.
The goat man, he wrinkles his nose.
Is this not the odor of love? he asks.
No this is not the odor of love, she replies.
He grunts, shakes head, scratches belly, farts--
She turns tail,
and runs. |
